 low pressure casting machine, also known as a gravity casting machine or low pressure die casting machine, is a type of equipment used in the casting process. It is used to produce high-quality castings with complex shapes, particularly for non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, and magnesium.

The low pressure casting process involves the following steps:

Preparation: The mold, which consists of two halves, is preheated and coated with a refractory material to prevent the metal from sticking to the mold surfaces.

Mold Clamping: The two mold halves are clamped tightly together.

Metal Melting: The desired metal, typically in the form of ingots or recycled materials, is melted in a furnace.

Filling the Mold: The molten metal is transferred to a holding furnace, which is connected to the mold. A pressurized gas or a mechanical piston is used to force the molten metal into the mold cavity.

Solidification: The molten metal cools and solidifies inside the mold, taking the shape of the mold cavity.

Mold Release: The mold halves are separated, and the solidified casting is removed.

Reduced Porosity: The lower injection pressure helps reduce the occurrence of porosity in the castings, resulting in higher quality and integrity.

Reduced Part Distortion: The low pressure filling process results in reduced internal stresses and minimized distortion of the cast parts.
